My 2012 Election Prediction

CNN has it tied up at 49-49 with a high Democrat sample that probably doesn’t reflect reality. So, before the voting really begins tomorrow, here is my predicton for the 2012 election. I fear that Romney will lose the close states (OH, PA, MN, CO, NV) and get very close to winning but not enough [...]

Obama Channels Dictators in Final Weeks of Campaign

First we have this ad from Obama yesterday: Which very closely reflects Putin’s ad a few years prior. Although, I must admit that – at least – Putin had the taste to put attractive women in his ad. So point Putin, I guess. Now, Obama has decided to up the ante and channel Mao in [...]

Daily Caller: The Sean Hannity of the Internet
Comments

Posted by lorien1973 on October 16, 2012 in Politics

I think it’s come time to call a spade a spade. The Daily Caller is awful. It’s almost as bad as listening or watching to Sean Hannity on a regular basis. And believe me, it pains to me to say this, as both are ideologically inline with me. But let me explain. Back on 10/2/2012, [...]

Camille Paglia Reminds How Far Democrats Have Fallen
Comments

Posted by lorien1973 on October 11, 2012 in Politics

In a Salon interview, Camille Paglia reminds us how far Democrats have trotted off the reservation in their embrace of authoritarian policies that would put a smile on Chavez’s face. She also offers some of the usual problems with Republicans, which I must confess, I have a problem with as well.  This in particular: This [...]

Democrats Vs Big Bird

A lot of talk about Big Bird this week and people on all side of the aisle seem to agree that it’s a pretty silly topic, especially for a campaign that really needs to be about big issues and not Sesame Street. Romney’s point in the 10/3 debate was, of course, that if you want [...]

So how did the Korean animators view the debate last night between Obama and Romney? If you aren’t laughing at 54 seconds when Mitt disembowels Big Bird; I’m sorry.

Romney Vs Obama Debate: The Perfect Metaphor

Hulk: Romney Loki: Obama Comments from around the web. Hotair: Romney wins. Tweet of the night: Mark Hemingway ‏@Heminator That wasn’t a debate so much as Mitt Romney just took Obama for a cross country drive strapped to the roof of his car. Instapundit: UNDENIABLE: ROMNEY 1, OBAMA 0 And, of course, Chris Matthews. Meltdown.

That New 2007 Obama Tape
Comments

Posted by lorien1973 on October 3, 2012 in Politics, Uncategorized

I tend to agree with Instapundit here, that the tape is most interesting thing about the new version of the tape is that it simply shows how far in the tank the media is for Obama and how invested in his victory they really are. Multiple news outlets went to Twitter before it was even [...]

Venezuela Presidential Elections

So, since Chavez claims his opponent is like Romney; is it safe to assume that Obama will not be rooting for him to win? Or is this a question that one is willing to ask the President? I’m curious if he endorses a socialist over a “person who shares an agenda with Romney”.
