Ron Paul: 9/11 Truther Supporters

  Ron Paul: 9/11 Truther Supporters

If he’s not a truther, why not condemn these people?

Here is a video of Ron Paul supporters outside the Democrat debate on June 3rd, 2007. They are of the “9/11 was an inside job” truther crowd. Now, Ron Paul could be a truther or he could just be a truther enabler. He does regularly appear on the Alex Jones radio show. He also has said that he believes JFK was killed by our government. That conspiracy, while easily debunked, does not bother me as much as 9/11. Your beliefs on 9/11 directly affect our national security and our future.

So, as we’ve discussed before, Ron Paul’s support seems to come from 9/11 truthers.

And this is his main problem, with me at least. Ron Paul is terrific on domestic issues - taxes, government spending, regulation, etc. But he is horrible on foreign policy. It’s short sighted. If Ron Paul seriously wanted to be a serious candidate; he could raise his stature among all Republicans (and the country, I’m sure), by denouncing the truthers and coming out and saying what he believes in regards to 9/11.

Will he?

  1. Truther enabler? I encourage you to back away from such a concept.

There is good reason to tolerate cynics.

Ron Paul made his position clear. There is no evidence to support the Truther claim. His position addresses the ideas and does not disrespect people.

  2. If Paul isn’t a truther; then he enables it. He is on Alex Jones’ radio show all the time. He thinks JFK was a conspiracy. He believes in the NAU. He wants a “new investigation” with Kucinich about 9/11.

Paul’s supporters are truthers; not all, but the vast majority. He -has- to realize this. If he isn’t a truther, let him come out and denounce them. Until then. Truther (enabler) he shall be.

  3. The “truthers” support Ron Paul because Rosie O’Donnell isn’t running. They are the minority.

    Loren,

I’m not going to attempt to convince you that the NAU is real, but you might want to take a look at section 413 of the new immigration legislation and see what you think, then, perhaps check out the FOIA documents on Judicial Watch about the Security and Prosperity Partnership. Phyllis Schlafly also has an entire web page dedicated to the NAU, if you want to take a look.

By the way, I am in no way a 911 truther nut job. Just an old-time traditional conservative.

These labels crack me up. “Truther”

Somehow “truthers” are supposed to be nutjobs because they.. um.. seek the truth? Why is being a “Truther” a bad thing?

I guess that makes all non-truthers…”Liars”

Hrrm I know what camp id rather be in.

Wake up Liars, you are now the fringe nutjobs.

    Wake up and look around.

  6. Ron Paul gave an audio interview where he answers the exact question you pose in your blog title.

The question of Is Ron Paul a truther could not have been more clearly answered - check it out.

EEKman: Ironically, all “truthers” are lairs. They think that 9/11 was an inside job, a controlled demo., etc. despite all evidence to the contrary. They picked the label “truthers” as a propagandistic tactic, to portray thrmselves as truth-seekers when they are actually losers wading through the cesspools of the internet. Always beware of those so eager to attach the word “truth” to themselves. They may be be trying to make up for something. I am reminded of the truth eating darwin fish mettalic logos on cars. Religion is deserving of such faith. Political paranoia is not.

  8. You should check out some of the most cruel and vicious comments left on my site by the Ron Paul supporters. Here you will see their true colors. If they are anything like the one they support, it would be very dangerous to have him as president. Poor people be wary… very wary! The video is of a handicap lady who says she’s in poverty but can’t get any assistance. Ron Paul supporters have come on there and told her to just die, that she needs to do like the indians and go off somewhere and die off alone. They called her idiot and blasted her for wanting help. They say that the family and Church should help her. This video represents the people in America who can’t get help from family, knowing that Church is limited on funds. I just can’t believe the slurs and vulgarities that come from these people. People need to aware of his followers! You can visit this site and see for yourself at:

    Thanks for your help!

  10. Wow… ten people saying 9/11 was an inside job…

What’s the big deal, you act like Ron Paul was out there. He has already clarified this, “9/11 happened because of inefficiency within our government”. I can’t stand how his words get switched around.

Last time it was “we are taking our orders from Al-Qaeda,” when he said we should know the history of our occupancy and the CIA term Blowback. Now it’s 10 people in a parking lot yelling about 9.11 inside jobs and that means he is part of them.

You know what just stick it bro, an actual HONEST man comes around that wants to stick to the Constitution and try and do things that would help the middle class and keep our soldiers from death, yet everything he says gets spun and anyone who associates with him is automatically a reason to smear him.

It’s sad, maybe the next honest guy that comes around will be a little bit more perfect that way he can get just a tad bit more respect than the other special interest and lobby lovers.

  11. […] the gutter with Jones, and just because Jones would donate $2,300 to Paul, and just because Paul won’t condemn the Troofer “movement” like Bubba did, does not mean that Paul is a Troofer, […]

  12. […] his advertising campaign, because face it, you can never have enough insane people behind you (9/11 Truthers) , especially when the latest estimations show that he isn’t even being taken seriously by […]

  13. Well, due to recent changes in federal election laws, a federal campaign cannot have *any* influence on local activism, or it counts against their donations.

    So, therefore they don’t.

As far as disavowing certain contributors and support groups, he could do that, and perhaps it would be politic for him to do so. But that is the slippery slope.

Who defines which groups are “offensive”?

That is one of the platforms of his campaign, that these things (ie: free speech) should not be “determined” by the government or even the media, but by the free market. So he got $500 from some infamous racist. He got $4+ million from his freedom-loving supporters in one day, and this is who he will listen to.

Truthers perhaps see Ron Paul’s commitment to transparency in government as a rallying point for their cause. This should not be confused with a tacit endorsement of their politics, however.

I’m sure he could spend all day every day talking to the special interests that needed him to massage his “position” on the issues, but that is exactly why we love the Doctor, he just doesn’t do that.

Please keep in mind: Any tool given to do Good can be turned around and used to do Evil.

Let’s keep the Government’s Toolbox as sparse as possible.

    Thanks,
    DaveP
