Sad. They were/are a good vendor.
For the second time this year (already), a vendor we buy products from is going into receivership. This time, it’s Pacific Rim Import Corporation. They carry many home and garden decorative items. While they were never a huge vendor for us, they did have a few of my personal favorite products. Some, sadly, I may never see again. The fish wind chime, the pinecone wind chime and some decorative plates - all, sadly, gone. My representative holds out hope that Pacific Rim will come out the other side, possibly under a new name. I guess its possible, as another company I deal with went under last August and came back in December. Similar products, but not identical.
Pacific Rim’s departure will leave a big open space at America’s Mart though. I think they had showrooms on at least 3 different floors. Probably very expensive to maintain those. I wonder who will take over those showrooms?
I always thought Pacific Rim’s prices were a little high for the quality and types of products, which is never why we carried more than about 100 to 150 of the available 3000 to 4000 products. I also thought their freight allowance system was too difficult (and done this way on purpose). But, we did manage to place a huge order with them today and swing a nice discount (in the 40% range) at the same time.
I’ll miss my representative there. She said she is taking a vacation (heh!) but I really thinked she liked it there and hopes that Pacific Rim will be back. So do I.

I was disappointed about Pacific Rim. I had an order I needed to place with them. Do you have any idea who bought the inventory or how I can find one item they had???

They sold their inventory, as far as I know, to their customers. I know we got like 65% off our last order. Purchased about $12,000 worth of product for about $5,000. Very nice.
Their customer base was purchased (oddly enough) by some company who sells balloons and party stuff - forget their name now. Totally off theme and I was disappointed by that. Not only did a vendor go away, but no one took their place either.

Hi,
Burton and Burton acquired Pacific Rim.
Their website is http://www.burtonandburton.com
I wonder though, if Pacific Rim sold for much less than Burton and Burton, as I’ve seen their items selling retail for less than Burton and Burton sells them for.
Anyway, hope that helps all of you who are looking.

Lorien, I am looking for garden statues that Pacific Rim used to sell. Did you happen to order any when you ordered your last order? Do you have an online store that I could check them out at?
Also does anyone know the name of the manufacturer of the garden statues that Pacific Rim used to sell? I’m hoping to track them down, as they made the best garden statues, and especially a particular one that was very special to me that I just broke!!

We never really bought a lot of garden statues from pacific rim. The prices were too high and I didn’t think the quality was very good on them either. You can see our garden statues at:

We get them from 6-7 different vendors right now.
We are running an inventory clearance sale on our Pacific Rim stuff right now trying to clear our warehouse space for items that we’ll never get back.

I am searching for a specific PR nativity set. I think it had 10-12 pieces (Holy Family, kings and animals). The pices stood 6-7″ tall and were painted in jewel tones.

I was never really a fan of their nativity items so that’s something I don’t have from them unfortunately.
This is actually the only PR nativity set that we ever bought from them
