Obama Always Taken Out of Context

Obama Always Taken Out of Context

Mighty convenient.

Reverend Wright. Out of Context

Air Raiding and Killing Civilians. Out of Context

Subprime Crisis. Out of Context

Obama’s Ego. Out of Context

Spreading the Wealth. Out of Context

Attacking Palin. Out of Context

Redistribution of Wealth. Out of Context

Using Supreme Court to Spread the Wealth. Out of Context

Bankrupting the Coal Industry. Out of Context

Maybe Obama should help provide us all context for these things by holding a press conference. Or not. You know either way.

Maybe voters will decide on Tuesday that Obama is out of context and not fit to lead this country. We can only hope.

Update: Instapundit and Mark Levin (NRO Corner) both link. Thanks guys! I read InstaGlenn everyday and love Levin’s radio show!

  6. Yes. Obama is taken out of context a lot. That’s part of the point. Republicans and conservative bloggers constantly go over every single statement he makes, fight a segment that can be ripped out of context to suggest a meaning utterly divorced from it’s intent, and then pretend that’s what Obama really meant.

  7. No, Dan, we don’t take Obama out of context. We just take him at face value. When he says he wants to make bringing new coal-powered plants on line prohibitively expensive, those of us who live in coal-mining, coal-powered states take him at his word. When he calls coal an “ideology” that must be taken off the table, we believe he means that we shouldn’t use the coal we have in the ground. Maybe we’re not nuanced enough for you and Obama, but it sounds to me like Obama plans to make life difficult for the coal industry–and hence the power industry and hence every person employed by those industries or dependent upon those industries for their heat and/or electricity.

Perhaps you have a different context–a secret one that Obama revealed to you? Do share. We’d love to hear it.

Nicely done, Lorien. Come visit at the Queendom!

  8. Well Obama is the Messiah so he thinks he speaks with infallibility like the Pope.

Gee, Barry, we do speak English and context is not needed to know exactly what you meant.

After milking these dirty little tricks for the last eight years, you’re about to lose power because you can’t adapt to reality. Let us know how that works out for you after being out of power for the next 2-8+ years.

yeah yeah .. everything is always out of context, a lie, or racist. there can be no doubting the Anointed One and whoever questions Him must be destroyed. barack’s slimy, underhanded, chicago-style politics make richard nixon look like a choirboy.

  11. You guys crack me up.

  12. Uhmm….maybe those things were taken out of context? Did that ever dawn on your pea-sized brain?

  13. Yeah maybe Obama was actually in context for some of this instances. However, I see that most of his comments were purposely interpreted by folks on this site to suit their preconceived opinion of Obama.
On coal and alternative energy, isnt it the desire of everyone to look for alternate sources of energy to stop the greehouse menace.
He stated the options he will work out are solar etc but you all seem to be too concerned about how he’ll do it rather than the end result which will guarantee the future of your children and those unborn. Please if you dont see Obama as the One to lead the way to a Better America then keep ur vote. We will vote him in and you’ll come round to agree with us.

  14. A bit of technical assistance for all: a “context” is the sum of cognitive elements that conditions the acquisition, validity, and/or application of any item of human knowledge.

    Happy to help.

You might want to remove the link to the Rev. Wright out of context article. First, its only evidence is church members assertion that the rest of us don’t understand Rev Wright. Secondly, the article is dated March 14 two months before Obama himself declared Wright beyond the pale.

So, by Obama’s own admission, the rest of us did understand the proper context of Wright’s sermons at the time.

  16. Bandit on November 3rd, 2008

Maybe every word out of Obama’s mouth is a lie or just an expediently disposed of position once he’s confronted with it?

  17. Shannon Love on November 3rd, 2008

Whoops, sorry, I didn’t get the joke. I’m switching back and forth between different sites and I’m losing context.

  18. Joe the Roofer on November 3rd, 2008

Here’s some context for you, asshole: Obama is going to win the election tomorrow and beat John McCain like a fucking gong.

  19. Obviously sometimes things can be taken out of context. Unfortunately, pundits and partisans on both sides do it.

But in the cases cited above there simply is no “context” to justify what Obama said. There is no conceivable context for Jeremiah Wright. Obama has been quoted at length on the issue of coal and it’s clear as to what he means. Ditto with “redistribution of wealth”. These are not isolated quotes, but there are long sections whereby Obama elaborates on what he means.

The fact is that Barack Obama is the most radical leftist candidate ever to run for the White House and he is being exposed as such.

  20. Realized on November 3rd, 2008

I just looked in my new thesaurus and found that “take out of context” is a synonym for “can’t deny the quote, what the hell do I do now?”

All these Out Of Contexts sure are a distraction from the real issues the O is concerned about. Issues like publicly taking 1 of his daughters trick or treating for a photo op or looking like a bike riding doofus.
