Paging Mr. Smith
This video says it all, doesn’t it? Why can’t Joe the Plumber run for office?
And why can’t politicians speak this straight forward?
We do need to get rid of the sense of entitlement. Yes, Obama is a Socialist (McCain is Socialist lite, granted). No, government is not the answer to our problems. It is, in fact, the cause of most of our problems.
Joe ‘08. As I said before, we need a Mrs. Smith in Washington. The problem is, McCain is not Mr. Smith.
UPDATE: Joe Biden doesn’t know Joe the Plumber. Doesn’t care about Joe the Plumber. But Joe Biden thinks cops are small businesses. Eh?
MORE: Joe the Plumber with Neil Cavuto.
Seriously. Neil Cavuto. Joe the Plumber. Sarah Palin. Bobby Jindal. It’s a pity the Republicans in Washington are so miserable. We have such good voices out in the real world. Why can’t we bring it to Washington?
MORE: John McCain releases a Joe the Plumber Ad.
I haven’t seen the ad yet (as of posting this) but I’m hoping McCain cedes the top of the ticket to Joe the Plumber!

It’s too bad that Joe isn’t a licensed plumber; doesn’t make enough ($40K) to buy the company like he said; that the company makes about $100K (not $250K), so it wouldn’t be taxed and would get a tax break, as would Joe, under Obama’s plan; and HE approached Obama not that Obama went to his house; that McCain shone the spotlight on “poor” Joe when HE mentioned him 21 times in the debate; that the media, not the democrats, dug into Joe’s past because of the McCain reference; and McCain “uses” Joe in all of his debates to pity the raw deal Obama supposedly heaped on him - talk about twisted logic - no wonder McCain can’t be trusted.

Joe doesn’t need a license.
His ability to buy the business is irrelevant to his desire to do so.
Him getting a tax cut is irrelevant (it’s not a tax cut anyways, its welfare). He said he doesn’t want others to pay a higher rate for being successful.
The media put the spotlight on Joe by focusing on him, rather than Obama’s response.
Talk about twisted logic, indeed.
