That Star Trek clip probably isn’t the best. If I recall, shortly after that scene, Picard realizes that she’s right, and it is foolish to stay on the ship in light of the Borg’s overwhelming force.

He decides she’s right. But, in the end, she is wrong. The Borg (with Data) would not allow the ship to be destroyed - Data over-rode the self destruct sequence.
Fighting the Borg, in the end, was the only solution.
