Bush Uses Magic to Make Fire Melt Steel (again!)

But fire can’t melt steel, can it?

Just noting the obvious retort to the 9/11 truther claim that fire cannot melt steel.

For the record, steel loses 50% integrity at the temperature jet fuel burned, which caused the systemic failure in the buildings.

Truthers claim that fire cannot melt steel. I usually avoid the obvious retort that says “steel workers disagree with you, people who make forks disagree with you, even guys who make samurai swords disagree with you.” Anyways.

But there was an accident the other day in San Fransisco that shows fire melting steel. Must’ve been Bush using controlled demolitions again. And I quote fire crews on the scene:

The upper deck of Interstate Highway 580 at Interstate Highway 80, located near Emeryville, collapsed Sunday morning after an explosion and fire.

Heat from the tanker explosion on the westbound 580 melted the upper roadway of the MacArthur Maze. The fire was intense enough to cause the tanker truck to basically melt away, according to crews on the scene.

Bush, you magnificent bastard. Thumbing your nose at the truthers when they least expect it.  NBC11 has a complete slideshow of the situation here.

    The steel here was not melted, it was deformd/weakened from the heat.
    With the WTCs molten steel was found…

    That’s the point I was making, actually. Steel doesn’t need to melt to be structurally weakened enough to cause a fatal collapse. Steel loses 50% of its integrity at the temperatures it was exposed to after the planes hit. Get the point?

    There is no evidence of molten steel at the site. Quotes were attributed to people; but most were 2nd hand accounts of it. If you looked at the pictures of the rubble, when it was originally moved to NJ (or where ever it was), clearly the metal was bent and buckled, but there was no molten steel.

    So, because there are reports of molten metal on the WTC site, we just assume it’s steel?

    Besides the tons of steel required to build the building, there was the huge amounts of aluminum for the ventilation ducts for the building, the aluminum of the airplanes, the copper of all the electrical wiring of the building…any number of things that could be mistaken by eyewitnesses as “molten steel”. I know if I saw a big pool of white hot melted metal, I would have no idea what kind of metal it was….I am betting these ultra-reliable terrified eyewitnesses could have mistaken one metal for another…

    Ah, so the libs are always there for our people. Its always a conspiracy to you democrats, right Trish? Im about bloody sick and tired of the Dem’s ever so “knowing” mind state. Rosie O’ Donell is a fat dumb pig that just needs to be put in a pen (insanity, because liberalism is a mental disorder- Michael Savage). Fire melts any type of element. its called “physics” or thermodynamical physics if you might want to get technical. Fire is the all powerful element to demolish, create, and recreate new elements, alloys, or creation of HEAT which MELTS metal. Ask your bloody 6th grade science teacher I mean seriously, god help us if you people are in such denial of common physics such that fire melts steel you my friend are a complete and utter dumbshit. Go back to school! ^_^ before you get angry (which i no doubtedly estimate that you Libs/Dems/Socialists already are, think about what i said think about your simple common physics of heat and SMELTING is the real name for it (hence smelting iron to make swords,knives,w/e) and think of what you may have learned in high school science class (if you were paying any attention), and think of what you just said. You guys (Libs/Dems/Socialists), are making asses out of yourselves. “Fire doesnt melt metal…” You guys are all a buncha bloody wanks….

    YES fire CAN melt steel
    It must be hot anough to do so first
    even if the steel was weakened at those temperatures…..why would the building completely “collapse” just because the steel was weakened at the top floors?
